2. General Information on Data Processing
2.1 Scope of Personal Data Processing
We process personal data of our users only to the extent necessary to provide a functional website and our content and services. The processing of personal data regularly takes place only with the consent of the user. An exception applies in cases where prior consent cannot be obtained for factual reasons and the processing of the data is permitted by law.
2.2 Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data
Insofar as we obtain consent from the data subject for the processing of personal data, Art. 6(1)(a) EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) serves as the legal basis. When processing personal data that is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR serves as the legal basis. This also applies to processing operations that are necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures.
2.3 Data Deletion and Storage Duration
The personal data of the data subject will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage no longer applies. Storage may also take place if this has been provided for by European or national legislators in EU regulations, laws or other provisions to which the controller is subject.
3. Provision of the Website and Creation of Log Files
3.1 Description and Scope of Data Processing
Each time our website is accessed, our system automatically collects data and information from the computer system of the accessing computer. The following data is collected:
- Information about the browser type and version used
- The user's operating system
- The user's Internet service provider
- The user's IP address
- Date and time of access
- Websites from which the user's system reaches our website
- Websites that are accessed by the user's system via our website
3.2 Legal Basis for Data Processing
The legal basis for the temporary storage of data and log files is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
3.3 Purpose of Data Processing
The temporary storage of the IP address by the system is necessary to enable delivery of the website to the user's computer. Storage in log files occurs to ensure the functionality of the website and to ensure the security of our information technology systems.
3.4 Duration of Storage
The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. In the case of storage of data in log files, this is the case after seven days at the latest.
4. Use of Cal.com
We use Cal.com for appointment scheduling. When you book an appointment through our website, your data (name, email address, and other information you provide) will be processed by Cal.com. 5. Rights of Data Subjects
If your personal data is processed, you are a data subject within the meaning of the GDPR and you have the following rights vis-à-vis the controller:

You can request confirmation from the controller as to whether personal data concerning you is being processed by us.
5.2 Right to Rectification
You have the right to request the immediate rectification of incorrect personal data concerning you or to have incomplete personal data completed.
5.3 Right to Restriction of Processing
You may request the restriction of the processing of your personal data under certain conditions.
5.4 Right to Erasure
You have the right to request that the controller immediately delete personal data concerning you.

You have the right to receive the personal data concerning you in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.
5.6 Right to Object
You have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of personal data concerning you.
5.7 Right to Withdraw Consent
You have the right to withdraw your consent to data processing at any time.
5.8 Right to Lodge a Complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you consider that the processing of personal data relating to you infringes the GDPR.

This notice explains how KNUS GmbH processes your personal data when you apply for a role at SANE/REBELS. KNUS GmbH is the controller; its contact details are listed in section 1. For questions or to exercise your rights, email [email protected].
What we process and why
We process the contact details, experience, work samples and availability you share, together with our correspondence and recruitment notes. We use these to assess your application, communicate with you and prepare a possible employment relationship. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, covering steps taken at your request before entering into a contract. Where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, we retain relevant records under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is protecting our legal rights in connection with recruitment.
Who handles your application
Our team reviews your application and makes recruitment decisions. Access for recruitment purposes is limited to those responsible for handling your application. Applications arrive through Google Workspace and are also stored in our application management system. Providers of email and application hosting services process data as needed to operate those services; this is separate from assessing candidates.
Google Workspace can involve processing outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Google’s Cloud Data Processing Addendum describes the applicable transfer arrangements, including adequacy decisions and Standard Contractual Clauses where required. How long we keep your application
We keep your application while the recruitment process is ongoing. If we reject your application or you withdraw it, we delete it from our email and application management systems within six months. If records are needed for an ongoing legal dispute, we restrict their use to that purpose and retain them until the matter is resolved and any applicable legal retention requirement ends. Service providers may retain residual copies for the limited deletion and backup periods set out in their processing terms. If you join us, the information needed for your employment is transferred to your employment records, with separate information about its processing and retention.
Consideration for future roles
Applying for a role does not automatically enrol you in a pool for future vacancies. If we would like to keep your application for that purpose, we ask for your separate, voluntary consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and tell you the retention period before you decide. Declining has no effect on your current application. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing [email protected], without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
Your choices and rights
Providing application information is voluntary and is not a statutory obligation. We need enough information about your suitability and a way to contact you to consider your application; without it, we may be unable to assess it. Please only share information relevant to the role.
Subject to the applicable legal conditions, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. You may also complain to a data protection supervisory authority, particularly in the EU country of your habitual residence, place of work or the alleged infringement. In Germany, you can find the relevant authority in the directory of German data protection authorities.
