Meta meets AI
Paid social where the creative carries it: AI drafts in your brand voice, a human does the upload.
The first principle
Why this setup
Three truths that everything else follows from.
We don't beat Meta's algorithm. We feed it. Today Meta's Advantage+ prices and places impressions better than we could by hand, so we feed it real signal rather than fight it: your real margins, your real new customers, your goals. We set the limits, and if a smarter way shows up, we take it.
Where there's a right answer, code does the math, not AI. Numbers, checks, and carrying out a change are handled by tested code. We use AI only where there's no clear right answer: which idea, which copy, what comes first.
AI has become cheap. Good judgment hasn't. AI produces analyses and copy in minutes. The decision is what stays valuable, and a human makes it. In a controlled trial, experienced developers with AI even came out 19 percent slower while feeling faster, with most of the time going to reviewing and correcting the output.
Here's what that looks like in practice.
Paid social
What we run on Meta
On Meta the creative is the lever. Targeting and delivery increasingly run through Advantage+, so our work is the images and copy, plus the signal we feed the auction.
Creative
Images and copy in your brand
Built from what already performs in the account, and checked against your brand and Meta's ad policies before it ships.
Advantage+
Targeting we leave to the platform
Advantage+ Shopping and Advantage+ campaigns currently place and price better than hand-built audiences. We set the budget and the exclusions, and we bring the offer.
Measurement
Real signal, server-side
The Conversions API carries real margin and new-customer value, so delivery optimizes toward profit instead of the ROAS number each platform credits to itself.
Today
How we use AI today
The same loop as everywhere: the AI reads and drafts, code and a human do the rest. On Meta, honestly, the last step is still done by hand.
Between understand and act sits the approval. Nothing goes live without a human approving it, and a change counts as done only once a follow-up check confirms it.
Read. Performance per creative and campaign, where fatigue is setting in and what's winning right now.
Draft. Copy and image variants in your brand, grounded in the winners already in the account.
Check. A brand check (banned words, the em-dash tell, length) and Meta's ad policies, before anything reaches the proposal list.
Ship. Approved creatives as a validated import file; a human does the final upload. Image and video never go live automatically.
Every creative is a proposal. A human approves each one individually, nothing publishes itself, and every change can be undone.
Roadmap
What's next
The manual upload is today's limit. That's what we're wiring next, without giving up the human approval.
Next
Straight through the Marketing API
Approved creatives go live through a checked API call, with the same approval gate, instead of being uploaded by hand.
In progress
Deeper Advantage+ signal
Contribution margin and new-customer value per segment via the Conversions API, so delivery steers toward the profit that actually counts for you.
In testing
Creative iteration in the loop
The AI proposes the next variant from what's tiring and what's winning, on a set cadence, still approved by a human.
Today Google and Meta run in production, with the Meta upload still by hand. The API connection is the next step; full autopilot is deliberately not the goal.
See it on a real example?
30 minutes, the whole loop live. You see what gets proposed, what a human approves, and what lands in the end.
